The Motorist Choice Awards were designed by AutoPacific and IntelliChoice.com to recognize the vehicles that delivered both the highest customer satisfaction and the lowest cost of ownership. With better than expected insurance costs, the Toyota Sequoia scored highest of any vehicle, a position bolstered by its standing as best in ownership costs and best in retained value.

Porsche Top Premium Brand, Ford Top Mainstream Brand, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Top Vehicle, Lincoln Navigator Top Truck An "ideal" is defined as an excellent or perfect example. In the annual Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA), announced today by automotive research and consulting firm AutoPacific, owners rate their new 2008 model year cars and trucks by how closely they come to their ideal, as measured by 15 key vehicle attributes. The cars or trucks that owners would change the least are the most ideal.

AutoPacific Announces Ed Kim as Director of Industry Analysis

Tustin, California, January 29, 2008. Today AutoPacific announced the appointment of Ed Kim as Director of Industry Analysis. Mr. Kim will manage AutoPacific's industry analysis services, including competitive analysis and sales forecasting as well as support for AutoPacific's consulting services. In addition, he will have editorial responsibility for VehicleVoice.com.

Kim is an experienced and accomplished industry expert who has thrived in numerous facets of the automotive world. After starting his automotive career with Hertz Corporation, he served seven years at AutoPacific as product analyst, and later as Product Analysis Manager, specializing in market research and consulting projects relating specifically to future automotive products. Mr. Kim is also an automotive journalist writing for various automotive publications. In 2005, Mr. Kim was chosen as manager of Hyundai Motor America's Advanced Product Development and Strategy area. In this role, he used his expertise in social trending to greatly increase company focus on future consumer needs-based product concept development. His broad understanding and passion for automotive design, architecture, and ideation led to groundbreaking cross-functional work with Hyundai's design, engineering, and marketing areas, resulting in numerous advanced and brand-extending vehicle programs. Mr. Kim earned a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside in Psychology.
