AutoPacific Study Finds More Than Half of Vehicle Owners Think Self-Driving Cars a a "Good Idea" A recently released study by AutoPaciific found 54% of vehicle owners think self-driving vehicles are a "good idea" and 23% are interested in owning one. According to the study, consumers who reject autonomous vehicles do so mainly because they are uncomfortable not being in control of the vehicle and have concerns over reliability.

AutoPacific Forecasts 17.4 Million U.S. Light Vehicle Sales in 2017 AutoPacific today officially announced its forecast for 2017 U.S. light vehicle sales. Down approximately 200,000 units from 2016 sales, AutoPacific forecasts 2017 will see 17.4 million units sold. “We are simply seeing a plateau of demand following years of recovery after the recession,” explains Ed Kim, AutoPacific Vice President of Industry Analysis.
